Day 10 - work the budget

After my friend visited for coffee yesterday morning, I got to work on the budget.

I love to budget and have everything on an excel spreadsheet, color coded, organised. As frugal as I am, I am always looking for ways to achieve a greater budget. Tighter.

I am quite a minimalist and don't like to have alot of stuff. This can hinder me in some ways. For example: yesterday, the laundry was drying and I had no pants to workout in. It was 8pm, lovely out and I wanted to go for a run... and so I went to Frenchies and bought running pants, a running shirt, and a running jacket.

My previous running jacket was just a green rain jacket that I bought at Value Village 2 years ago. I didn't like it and if you've read "the life-changing magic of Tidying up" by Marie Kondo, then you know that if it doesn't spark joy.... then get rid of it!

And so I shall. I shall go through all my clothes today and decide what sparks joy and what doesn't.

Budgeting sparks joy!
I love the feeling of knowing what is happening soon, and how much is there at all times. The budget is ever changing and that is a good thing.

I am hoping to start rug hooking again, but i will need to find the money in the budget for that.... once my job officially starts, things will be easier.
